HARAMBEE STARS THRASH ANGOLAN ANTELOPES
The Harambee Stars emerged victorious at the heated game yesterday between them and Angola. Keeping them still in the hot race to qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations!
The black antelopes clenched the lead in the 20th minute with a goal from Manucho (former Man U player), but that was NOT going to stop the stars or dampen their spirits. With a full stadium and the Prime Minister Raila Odinga cheering them on; they knew victory was the only option!
The second half brought the Stars back on the pitch with FIRE! Jamal Mohamed came onto the pitch and 4 minutes into the second half the score had been levelled. 1-1. The crowd cheered with jubilee! Angola persistently pressed on, but were no match for the Stars!
Time was running out... stoppage time in 1 minute Mcdonald Mariga showed his prowess in football and scored a splendid goal that saw the Stars lead 2-1. In the midst of celebration he took his shirt off which ended up in him being awarded a yellow card. Having already conceded one in the game this saw him having a red meaning the next crucial match against Nigeria he would be booked and unable to play.
The players all received a bonus of 50,000 for their great WIN!!!
